What is Clinical Herbalism?

And how can a Clinical Herbalist help me?

Clinical Herbalism is the holistic practice of using botanical medicine within a clinical and scientific framework to alleviate health challenges with the aim of restoring health and vitality.

Clinical Herbalists are trained to understand how botanical medicine interacts with the human body and its pathophysiological processes. We take into account any current diagnosis and how herbs can interact with prescription drugs. We work with clients one-on-one to develop a comprehensive health plan that includes an herbal formula, nutritional protocols, and the integration of supplements and lifestyle modifications to nourish both physical and emotional health.

Clinical Herbalists are complementary health practitioners. We do not treat or diagnose, but rather offer adjunct therapies to complement the work you're doing with your primary health provider.

How It Works

01.

This is a free 30 minute virtual consultation where we get to know each other and figure out if we're a good match. We'll discuss your health needs, goals, and desires as well as my methods, tools, and resources.

02.

This initial meeting is an in-depth exploration of your health history, family history, lifestyle habits and diet. It can range anywhere between 1.5 to 2 hours. You will fill out a comprehensive in-take form a few days before this session.

03.

A few days after your in-take, you will receive your customized herbal formula targeted specifically for your health condition + your individualized Wellness Action Plan consisting of nutritional protocols and vitalist therapeutics to complete in conjunction with taking your herbal formula.

04.

Follow-Up

Sessions

Two to four weeks after your in-take, we review your progress and any changes in your health. You may also receive adjustments to your herbal and/or nutritional protocol. We may also discuss any related health challenges that have arisen since our last session.

Let's begin our work together!
